Breaking News: President Joe Biden Gets Inaugurated

President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were sworn in on Inauguration Day 2021. 45th United States President Donald Trump was not in attendance, which is an unusual occurrence considering the history of American inaugurations.

In his inaugural speech, 46th President Joe Biden announced that, “democracy has prevailed” and called for an end to America’s “uncivil war”. Less than two hours after being sworn in, Biden got to work and signed off on 17 executive orders, all of which were aimed at undoing former President Donald J. Trump’s agenda.

A few of the most remarkable actions taken on Wednesday afternoon, President Biden signed a letter to re-enter the United States into the Paris Climate Accords. In addition to this, Biden reversed Donald Trump’s Muslim and African travel bans, as well as reinforced the Dreamers (or DACA) program. President Joe Biden has encouraged people to stay informed and up to date, as many more changes will be made during his term.
